Crane’s static torque transducers are the quality choice for the testing of all continuous drive, impulse and hand torque tools in the workshop and production lineside environment.
Static or stationary transducers are used off the production line in a workshop or on lineside testing stations. Combined with joint kits, these transducers can help represent the actual production joint condition that the tool will be used upon. The stationary transducers form an effective offline test for verification of assembly tool performance.
Crane’s static torque transducers are available in a wide range of sizes, from 3.5Nm up to 5000Nm, with both UTA and Industry Standard (IS)…

The stationary transducers form an effective offline test for verification of assembly tool performance.
Crane’s static torque transducers are available in a wide range of sizes, from 3.5Nm up to 5000Nm, with both UTA and Industry Standard (IS) versions to suit your specific requirements. The UTA version incorporates on-board intelligence for automatic transducer recognition with Crane readout and data collector devices, such as the TorqueStar and IQVu-2. The IS version is available where a user already has a readout device from another manufacturer but needs the full performance and features of a Crane static torque transducer.
Crane’s static torque transducers deliver the precise, reliable measurements your quality control process demands. Light ring versions are also available up to 1/2″ drive as standard, providing clear visual indication of tightening within a test system.
The performance of an assembly tool is highly dependent on the conditions of the actual production joint on which it is used, which is where joint kits come in.
Tooling engineers are well aware of the ‘mean shift’ term used to describe the different torque levels delivered by the same tool when applied to a soft or hard joint. It is therefore essential in the testing and setup of tools off of the production line, to allow for the joint condition which the tool will experience on the job.
Crane’s joint kits satisfy this requirement by using a bolt and suitably configured…
The TorqueStar Plus data collector is part of the innovative ‘TorqueStar’ range of torque data collectors from Crane Electronics. The TorqueStar Plus version adds a completely updated and fresh-looking torque indicator and data collector to our current product portfolio.
The TorqueStar Plus can connect to both static torque transducers and rotary torque transducers such as the CheckStar Multi, to measure torque and angle either during assembly tool testing or for verification when tightening a fastener. With a whole host of measurement modes available including Track, Peak, Pulse, Click, Force, Audit and Angle, as well as a series of basic statistics, a high-quality backlit screen and expansive storage; the TorqueStar Plus offers an effective solution for torque measurement applications in manufacturing, quality and auditing environments.
The simple menu and page structure allows for easy navigation and straight-forward use…
The TorqueStar Lite is our established entry-level torque data collector from the revolutionary TorqueStar series, providing a simple and easy-to-use solution for measuring and collecting torque data.
The TorqueStar Lite torque data collector is ideal for users who want a quick and straight-forward ‘plug-and-play’ analyser with the added precision that the Crane brand guarantees. The TorqueStar Lite can connect to both static torque transducers and rotary torque transducers such as the CheckStar Multi, to measure torque and angle either during assembly tool testing or for verification when tightening a fastener.
The clear and sharp OLED screen on the TorqueStar Lite enables easy-to-view data and statistics…
The auto transducer switching box enables up to 5 torque transducers to be connected simultaneously to either of our TorqueStar or IQVu-2 series of torque data collectors. The auto switching box allows the user to select and switch between each transducer individually through the data collector’s menu system.
The transducer connectors are numbered 1 to 5, each with its own LED light which identifies to the operator which torque transducer is currently active. A further LED light on the box illuminates if no torque transducers are connected at all.
The auto switching box makes operation…
