RFm Wireless Communication Device

The RFm communication device allows the CheckStar Multi rotary torque transducer to connect wirelessly to our IQVu-2 or TorqueStar Pro torque data collectors via RF technology.

Previously a CheckStar Multi could only be operated via a cable connection. The addition of the RFm allows the CheckStar Multi to be situated and operated in areas where long lengths of cable would be impractical or pose potential safety risks.

The RFm captures the torque and angle data in real time, converting them into digital values. Using our advanced measurement algorithms, the RFm processes this data to calculate key fastening parameters such as ‘Peak’ or ‘Click’. The RFm communicates the final measurement readings to the IQVu-2 or TorqueStar Pro via RF, with a typical range of approximately 10 metres.

Pairing the RFm with your data collector is quick and effortless and if for any reason there is a loss of connection, such as moving out of range of the data collector, it continues to work offline storing up to 200 readings. As soon as the connection is restored, all of the stored readings are automatically transferred to the data collector.
