Crane Electronics has a new mobile tool torque station. Highly manoeuvrable, the MTTS Opta is designed for production line-side testing of all continuous drive, impulse and hand torque tools in all types of industries. Depending on the applications a combination of stationary and rotary transducers can be specified. The torque range of Crane’s rotary transducers goes from 0.2 to 5000Nm. The stationary transducers can be mounted both on the top surface of the trolley or for added convenience, vertically on a plate on the surface. The stationary transducer can cover a torque range from 0.2 to 1600 Nm To eliminate operator fault and ease operation the MTTS Opta unit has a switching module which allows the software to select automatically one of the three transducers. It will track the last transducer, even if it is put in a different connector socket. The system will also look for alternatives with the same torque span if the transducer last used becomes unavailable. An easy-to-read display gives visual fastener status details with HI/LO/OK readings and also visual/audible alarms. All torque data can be downloaded to PC or a network. The MTTS Opta offers SPC analysis with Cp, CpK, Cm and CmK via the Opta Comms software. The graph software allows the overlay and analysis of multiple torque graphs on a PC which could be of interest to quality control laboratories. MTTS Opta can be custom designed to meet specific line-side testing requirements such as additional lockable drawers, optional internal or external printers, as well as various scanner options. |
